I truly just want to say thank you! As my husband and I are returning from the National Apraxia Conference we learned a ton, met lots of people…all of which helped us come away with a huge realization that Isaac is in the BEST hands with PediaSpeech. I am so thankful for where Isaac is and how very bright his future is-all of it is due to your expertise! We learned what apraxia therapy “should” look like and we were so familiar with what they were doing because it is what you all have done with Isaac! We can’t thank you enough.

When my son turned 20 months old he was not babbling much or saying the normal “mama”, “dada” or even trying to speak at all sometimes. His pediatrician said it was that he was a second child and didn’t need to speak because he had sister there, or that he was a boy. But I knew something just wasn’t right. I decided to look into getting him evaluated by a speech therapist. After asking some of my friends and other moms about finding a therapist, my friend gave me Jennifer McCullough’s number at PediaSpeech. We set up an evaluation that week and Mrs. Jennifer diagnosed him with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). We immediately began speech therapy twice a week. After about six grueling months of traveling to therapy (30 minutes from my house one way) and daily at-home practice, Dylan began to form functional words. Now at 4 years old, he has made huge leaps and bounds speaking full, “clear” complete sentences understood by his teachers, friends and family! He was recently re-evaluated and the diagnosis changed from CAS to normal articulation issues, like most children his age. Dylan continues to improve daily and we now only go to therapy once a week. When I tell other moms that Dylan had moderate to severe Childhood Apraxia, they can’t believe it because he speaks so well! My family and I are extremely GRATEFUL to Mrs. Jennifer, Ms. Carly and the staff for their love and commitment in helping me help my son. We can’t thank them enough.

My son is 6 ½ and has a language and sensory based disorder, as well as a reading and an extreme feeding disorder. Over the years, we have tried literally “herds” of therapists---with very little progress. We found PediaSpeech about 10 months ago. In that time, my son has made amazing progress with his speech/communication skills and with PediaSpeech’s help, is finally reading. Also, my son has been unable and unwilling to eat anything other than pureed baby food (i.e., NO SOLID FOODS) since he was a toddler. Yet, just a few weeks ago, and with PediaSpeech’s expertise, support, and guidance, my son ate his very 1st meal that was all “BIG PEOPLE FOOD.“ There aren’t even words to express how amazed and happy we are… My husband and I actually teared up—watching him eat. We didn’t think it was possible. Accordingly, I can’t say enough about PediaSpeech. The progress that we have made is just short of a miracle...

My twins - Owen and Eliot - were born in December 2007 at 27 weeks gestation. In the past two years, our main issue with both kids has been feeding and speech.
My daughter, Eliot, had a severe feeding disorder that started when she was three months old. Our pediatrician referred me to PediaSpeech, and our initial intake interview with the company's owner, Jennifer, was both informative and hopeful. In the coming months, Jennifer spent many hours with Elie trying to train her to accept food, build her oral-motor skills, and develop her speech (which was also significantly delayed). Jennifer's impressive depth of knowledge coupled with a warm personality and professional approach always put Eliot and me at ease. Not only was her time with Elie creative and engaging, but she also took time to explain every session to me - always encouraging me and giving me the tools I needed to enhance Eliot's learning at home.
Eliot said her first word when she was 14 months old, and her progress since has been amazing. She now talks and eats beautifully, and I strongly believe that PediaSpeech's early intervention played a huge role in Elie's success.
My son, Owen, talked very early, but didn't progress quickly. He is currently in therapy at PediaSpeech twice a week, and is so happy when he sees his therapists. What a great feeling it is to see him excited about learning! I am thrilled with the progress Owen has made in a short time; I can literally see progress from week to week.
The therapists at PediaSpeech have committed themselves to our children, and it has been a pleasure to have them on our "team." We are so very, very grateful for the intangible gifts they have given our twins: confidence, curiosity, and independence - with so much FUN in between!

As the mother of identical twins, I can't stress enough how important
individual therapy time for children is. Our sons began early
intervention for speech at age 18 months. At age 25 months they were
diagnosed with autism, and are non verbal. It has taken them
transitioning to public school special education classes at age 3, combined with individual speech and therapy sessions, for us to truly
see progress. I believe that working with PediaSpeech (Carly Morris)
has been the extra piece that has helped bring a cohesiveness to all
the therapy they have received. During the year they have worked with Carly, their receptive language has dramatically improved, and they
have met each goal she has set. While the road to resolving feeding
issues has been long, both boys have made steady progress towards
accepting new foods on their plate and Kai has even started to take a
bite of an apple, which is very encouraging. We really value Carly's efforts and input, as well as the care she puts into keeping me
informed of their progress.

My son has been a patient at PediaSpeech for over a year. Initially, he saw Jennifer. Due to a scheduling issue we eventually started seeing both Jennifer and Beth. I love that their approaches are very different; however, they both are able to relate to my son and he to both of them. When we started at PediaSpeech, my son had some labels and could request with prompting. He was diagnosed with both autism and apraxia. Now, he speaks in sentences, answers and asks some questions, and comments on his environment. Thanks to the work he does with Jennifer and Beth, combined with the "homework" they send home, he is really progressing. They both clearly care for him and his progress. They are respectful of me and treat me as a partner in his care rather than just a parent who pays the bills. We are lucky to have found PediaSpeech and I would highly recommend them for any needed evaluation, consultation, or treatment.
