PediaSpeech Clinical Staff

Our experienced Speech-Language Pathologists are committed to helping clients and families by creating and providing the most effective individualized treatment plans. All of our Speech-Language therapists are fully accredited by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by Georgia State Professional Licensing Board.

Our clinical staff includes: Jennifer McCullough, Carly Davis, Kayla Bates, Jacqueline Yokley, Lauren Schichl, Melissa Anziano, and Maria Keely.





Jennifer McCullough, M.S. CCC-SLP

Jennifer-5879CC2Jennifer received her Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology at The University of Western Ontario, followed by a Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders from Massachusetts Institute of Health Professions, Boston, MA. Jennifer has over 20 years of experience as a pediatric speech and feeding specialist. Prior to starting PediaSpeech, Jennifer worked as a supervising speech therapist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  Jennifer is [su_tooltip content="Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets"]P.R.O.M.P.T.[/su_tooltip], Beckman, Kauffman and Sara Rosenfield-Johnson trained for Apraxia and oral motor disorders.

Jennifer also has specialized training in Orton-Gillingham as a reading specialist. She is a trained orofacial myofunctional therapist and works closely with local orthodontists to treat reverse swallow patterns and tongue thrust. Jennifer is married has a 12-year old daughter and 9-year old son. Jennifer resides in Decatur and enjoys traveling with her family, Pilates, playing tennis and reading.


Carly Davis, M.Ed. CCC-SLP

CarlyD-5518CCCarly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama. She continued her education at Valdosta State University where she obtained a Masters of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Carly joined PediaSpeech as a Speech-Language Pathologist because of her absolute love of children and to help parents in a one-on-one setting get kids to their fullest potential with communication. Before joining the PediaSpeech team, Carly worked in a variety of different settings, including pediatric clinics, preschools, elementary schools, and hospitals.

As a practicing clinician, Carly has treated a variety of speech and language disorders and symptoms including autism, Down Syndrome, childhood apraxia of speech, developmental delay, brain injury, and stuttering. Carly is trained in P.R.O.M.P.T. and Beckman Oral Motor. Carly is specifically passionate about early language development associated with different diagnoses such as apraxia that result in expressive language delays in young children. Carly is also a trained feeding therapist with experience with newborns and young children with oral motor and sensory-based feeding difficulties.

Carly enjoys exercising, traveling, the Atlanta Braves, Auburn football and spending time with her niece and nephew. Carly is originally from Valdosta, Georgia and currently resides in Brookhaven.


Kayla Bates, M.C.D. CCC-SLP


Received her Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders at The University of Alabama, followed by a Master’s of Communication Disorders in Speech-Language Pathology from Auburn University. During graduate school, Kayla completed her internship at United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama, and was able to implement therapy with a wide range of pediatric clients, including those with speech, language, and feeding disorders. Before joining the team at PediaSpeech, Kayla worked in a number different settings, including outpatient clinics, preschools, and rehabilitation hospitals. Kayla has a heart for children of all ages and finds joy in in helping them reach their fullest potential.

Kayla enjoys traveling with family and friends, running, spending time outdoors, and watching Alabama football. Kayla grew up in Tuscaloosa, AL, and now resides in Atlanta.


Jacqueline Yokley, M. Ed CCC-SLP

Jacqueline attended University of Georgia where she received both her Bachelor of Science in Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Masters of Education in Speech-Language Pathology. Her past experiences include working with patients of all ages in pediatric and adult medical settings as well as in the private clinic setting. Jacqueline is trained in the SOS approach to Feeding, The Sensory Motor Approach to Feeding, P.R.O.M.P.T., and Oral Placement Therapy. She has attended the TalkTools “Pediatric Dysphagia: Interpreting the MBSS and Planning Treatment” course in addition to many other courses and presentations on feeding and swallowing. Jacqueline is also passionate about working with patients with complex airways, childhood apraxia of speech, dysarthria, and language delay. She is experienced in treating both children and adults.

Jacqueline is currently a member of the Georgia State Speech-Language-Hearing Association's executive council as Vice President of Association Affairs. She is a recipient of the Jack Bess Memorial Award for her volunteer contributions during her role as Convention Chair 2016. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, yoga, and volunteering in the community through the Junior League of Atlanta.


Lauren Schichl, M.A. CCC-SLP

Lauren SchichlLauren attended Central Michigan University where she received both her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. Her past experiences include working for elementary and middle schools, as well as a pediatric private practice setting. Lauren has treated a variety of speech and language disorders including, articulation/phonological disorders, language disorders, Apraxia of Speech, fluency disorders, and developmental delays. She has a special interest in stuttering/fluency, augmentative communication, and early language development.

Lauren grew up in Michigan and moved to Florida in 2012. She recently relocated to the Atlanta area. In her free time, Lauren enjoys going to the beach, watching sports, staying active, and spending time with her soon-to-be husband and two dogs.


Melissa Anziano, MOT, OTR/L

Melissa received a Bachelor's of Science in Occupational Therapy and Master's degree in occupational therapy from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Prior to joining PediaSpeech, Melissa worked in other outpatient pediatric clinics in the Atlanta area.

Melissa has experience working with diagnoses including developmental delay disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADD / ADHD, traumatic brain injury, Cerebral Palsy, and Down syndrome. She also has experience in sensory integration, handwriting, basic and advanced fine-motor skills, myofascial release, and self-help skills. She continues to expand her knowledge in these and other areas through self-study and continuing education.

She has lived in the Decatur area since 2012. In her free time she enjoys walking her dogs, camping, and spending time with family and friends.


Maria Keely, M.S. OTR/L

Maria received her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. After working in customer service, Maria continued her education and received her Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. She relocated to Atlanta to be closer to family and joined the PediaSpeech team to pursue her passion of working with children with special needs as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Maria has several years of experience working with special needs children from working as a swim coach, a nanny and volunteering with community organizations. She has experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, Developmental Coordination Disorder, ADHD, Arthrogryposis, Ataxia, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Developmental Delay. As a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, she is able to keep up with the most recent treatment guidelines and research.

In her free time, Maria enjoys watching college football (go gators!), being outside, and spending time with friends and family.
